Special
orders
Special orders for
non-stock merchandise will be accepted in the manufacturers minimum ordering
quantities only and must be accompanied by a nonrefundable 25 percent deposit
to be applied toward purchase. Once a special order has been submitted to a
manufacturer it cannot be canceled.
We can also accept
orders for specially designed items. Contact Paragon International Arts for
details.
Backorders
Shorted items and
special orders will be back ordered gladly, upon customer request. However,
those shipped separately will carry the same terms and conditions of a new
order.
Shortages
and claims
Claims for shortages
(excluding freight shortages) must be made within ten days after receipt of
shipment. All cartons should be opened, unpacked, and compared to the packing
slip immediately. Check packing material carefully for small items. We cannot
be responsible for breakage or damage occurring in transit. Our customer
service department is willing to assist in every possible manner in collecting
claims for loss or damage; however, this willingness on our part does not make
us responsible for collection of claims or replacement of the materials.
A signed delivery
slip is your acceptance of merchandise received, complete and undamaged.
Compare the number of
cartons indicated on the delivery slip before signing a freight bill or a
delivery receipt. Note any shortages on receipt and have the driver note the
discrepancies.
Check for visible
damage to cartons. If hidden damage is suspected, insist the carton be opened
and note any concealed damage while the driver is present.
Return
of merchandise
1. All merchandise returned must be authorized by Paragon International Arts in advance. Please provide invoice and reason for each item’s return.
2.
Only items purchased from Paragon International Arts in the last 30 days are
eligible for return.
3.
When authorization to return merchandise is given, it is the predicated on the
assumption that the merchandise will be returned in salable condition, packed
in the original factory container, with no price markings. Credit will not be
issued on counter damage or damage in transit.
4.
We reserve the right to assess a 10 percent restocking charge plus
transportation costs both ways if return is due to customer order error.

Paragon International
Arts cannot be held responsible for injuries, illnesses, or damage sustained by
the misuse of any product. It is in the users responsibility to decide that the
product is suitable for this particular requirement. PIA’s liability is limited
to the replacement of merchandise proven defective with respect to material and
workmanship. PIA is in compliance with a hazardous materials labeling law.
